Quantitative Anomalies & INSTAT Analysis
Opendoor Technologies Inc (OPEN): This stock exhibits a significant price anomaly with a 1-Day change of -13.99% and a 1-Month change of 273.93%, surpassing the threshold of |1 Month| ≥ 15%. The INSTAT scores show a Bearish Cyclic Alert (AT negative: -2, ST positive: 47). This combination suggests algorithmic selling pressure in the short term, conflicting with positive swing trader momentum, indicating potential volatility as short-term technicals remain strong despite intra-day selling.
Rigetti Computing Inc (RGTI): A notable price anomaly is observed with a 1-Day change of 14.38% and a 1-Year change of 2139.03%, exceeding the |1 Year| ≥ 50% threshold. The INSTAT scores reflect a STRONG BUY signal (AT: 24, ST: 50, IN: 50, Total: 100), indicating consistent bullish sentiment across all timeframes. This suggests robust institutional and algorithmic buying, reinforcing a strong upward trend.
Joby Aviation (JOBY): This stock shows a price anomaly with a 1-Month change of -21.36%, meeting the |1 Month| ≥ 15% threshold. The INSTAT scores indicate a Bearish Trend Alert (ST negative: 14, IN positive: 48). This suggests short-term technical weakness against longer-term institutional strength, potentially signaling a reversal opportunity as institutional positioning remains supportive despite recent price declines.
Bill Cara’s Perspective & Recommendations
The R-88 Global Pulse Report reveals a dynamic market with strong performers in innovative sectors like quantum computing and real estate technology, contrasted by underperformance in select traditional industries. Rigetti Computing Inc (RGTI) emerges as a STRONG BUY, driven by its remarkable 1-Day (14.38%) and 1-Year (2139.03%) performance, backed by a perfect INSTAT Total score of 100. Reuters highlights growing investor enthusiasm for quantum computing, with Rigetti positioned as a leader due to its advancements in scalable quantum systems. The alignment of positive AT, ST, and IN scores underscores a robust bullish trend, making RGTI a high-conviction choice for growth-focused portfolios.
Opendoor Technologies Inc (OPEN) merits a BUY recommendation despite a sharp 1-Day drop (-13.99%), given its extraordinary 1-Month gain (273.93%) and strong ST (47) and IN (50) scores. The Bearish Cyclic Alert suggests short-term algorithmic selling, but the sustained swing and institutional momentum indicate a tactical opportunity to add on weakness. Bloomberg reports Opendoor’s innovative real estate platform is attracting significant institutional capital, supporting its long-term growth potential.
Joby Aviation (JOBY) is assigned a HOLD/MONITOR recommendation. The 1-Month decline (-21.36%) and Bearish Trend Alert (ST: 14, IN: 48) signal near-term caution, but positive institutional scores suggest potential for recovery. The Financial Times notes increasing interest in electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) technologies, positioning Joby as a compelling long-term investment despite short-term challenges.
Conversely, Pfizer Inc (PFE) warrants an AVOID/SELL recommendation, with fully negative INSTAT scores (AT: -25, ST: -50, IN: -50, Total: -100) and consistent underperformance (1-Day: -3.94%, 1-Year: -18.41%). Barron’s cites ongoing challenges in Pfizer’s innovation pipeline, weighing on its outlook. Similarly, CSL Ltd (CSLLY) is recommended as AVOID/SELL due to its significant 1-Month decline (-22.79%) and fully negative INSTAT scores, signaling a bearish technical phase.
Investors should prioritize high-conviction opportunities like RGTI and OPEN, capitalizing on dips for accumulation, while remaining cautious with underperformers like PFE and CSLLY. Monitoring JOBY for institutional follow-through is advisable, given its long-term potential in the eVTOL space.

I can't figure out how to place the current Navigator number into the template. But I will.
Also, the NotebookLM audios are locking out public listening. I upload to Substack some excellent audio files but since September 8, they do not process in their entirety. Obviously I have tried every troubleshooting recommendation available from AI, but nothing works, including different computers, browsers, media players, you name it.
Trust me: writing 600-page investment reports comes easy to me compared to some technologies that 12-year-olds can master.
Excellent pulse report, Bill! The quantum theme running through today's market is fascinatng - seeing both RGTI (+14.38%) and QuantumScape (+12.43%) at the top of your R-88 performance snapshot really highlights how the market is rotating into next-gen technologies. What's interesting about QS specifically is that it's riding positive momentum without the same algorithmic volatility flags you noted for OPEN. While RGTI gets the STRONG BUY nod with its perfect 100 INSTAT score, QS's +12.43% move suggests institutional accumulation as their PowerCo partnership milestones continue to derisk the commercialization path. Great tactical call on OPEN too - that Bearish Cyclic Alert is classic algo profit-taking after a 273% run.
