    ALOHA!!

Now that Congress has saved us all from going over the fiscal cliff until February we can count on the markets to rally to new lower highs! The DJI is the economy right?

Indexes are only as good as their “divisor”!

The DJI is based on components as measured by the “DOW divisor”(DD).

    - In 1928 before GM had a 2.5 for 1 stock split the “divisor” was 16.02
    - In 2009 GM was replaced by Cisco Systems and the divisor was 0.125552709

Perhaps this could be called the CPI-DD …

“DOW divisor”…determined by some magician dude behind the curtain.

Senate approved the “American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012″ with these exceptions. It’ll be interesting to see what the House does today. Don’t really think this is salvation.

        ALOHA!!

Perhaps the Fed Funds Rate will soon be 1:1 with the 2009 DOW Divisor of 0.125552709!!!!

I see no Hawaiian names on your list … With Innouye gone … WHAT-T-T!! Just think for a minute about that! The guy had such a lock on political power that he literally had to DIE … No human being on Earth could win against him so finally God voted him out! In the Senate he was head of the Senate Committee on Appropriations that funds the Military Industrial Complex. Innouye was the money spigot for the most powerful lobbies on the face of the Earth.

        The Hawaiian Caesar!

Looks like they are providing certainty that they will kill the economy with more tax hikes. If the first bunch doesn’t kill it, looks like they want to see what happens when they raise some more after a couple more months of scaring everyone to death.

Hi All – How about the latest news. Kinda reminds me off Robert’s comments: “Elections Have Consequences” when ruling on health care. There we had judicial modesty, and now we have congressional modesty – anyone here have buyer’s remorse yet? Happy Trading
