Markets Re-cap

International equity markets are cautious this morning. I suspect most traders are awaiting Tuesday’s FOMC decision.

December DJIA futures are presently (8:45am ET) up +43 at 13693, which is a gain of about +275 points W/W, indicating a firm open in New York.

The USD futures have opened weak this morning. At 8:15am ET, the $USD index is down to 76.047.

At 8:30am ET Jan-08 Crude Oil (e-MiNY) futures are 88.675/bbl, up +0.40 on the day but about the same as a week ago Monday.

Spot Gold, this morning (8:42 am ET) is 802.54. Spot Silver is at 14.42.
Precious metals prices are marginally stronger than the low on Friday morning, but down from a week ago.
