PDAC to celebrate 75th anniversary, Wed., Feb. 7, 2007, 9:28 AM

The showpiece of the global mineral industry is on display every year in March in Toronto. It’s called the PDAC.

The PDAC Convention is four consecutive twenty-hour days of pure delight to those of us who trade the miners and explorers of mineral resource property. When it’s all over, I usually take a few days to decompress.

The brochure lists: analysts, bankers, brokers, consultants, exploration managers, financiers, geoscientists, government & geological survey representatives, international delegations, junior & senior company personnel, lawyers, mining association representatives, mining executives, mining media, mining service sector representatives, prospectors and students.

This year there will be 15,000 visitors from over 100 countries, including 450 exhibiting resource companies whose senior officers are available to the public.

Surprisingly the retail investing public is only a small part of the total attendance. But there is a free Investors Exchange that goes on each day for the public that is the best of its kind in the world. I’m hoping to see some of you there.

If you do plan to attend, please send me a note and we can arrange to meet.
