Criticism of my blog is often deserving, Mon., Nov. 13, 2006, 12:22 PM
Today, the Sprott firm asked me not to indulge in misleading statements related to their involvement in uranium markets, and my reply pretty much sums up my feelings.
"Kevin,Of course, I should be pointing out that this is "Street talk" I hear (btw, from mining people far more experienced than Eric Sprott), and that I have no factual basis.
As to the $30 billion uranium market size, that's really a different animal, but I'm not going to waste your time or mine in debating it.
With respect to Sprott's move into uranium, I happened to call it "brilliant".
With respect to my view of the uranium market, I started blogging in 2004, and have always been bullish.
As to my reader's understanding of my regard for the reputation of Sprott, which is in part your concern, I think you are somewhat misguided. Please look at the published record.Having said all this, please pass my assurances to Eric that, henceforth, I shall be more selective in my wording blogs about uranium prices, taking care not to misrepresent the facts, and not to cast Sprott in an undeserving negative light.
Best regards, and please feel free to call at any time. I'm doing this free blog only to provide insights to markets that some people believe are educational and informative. I have a large international audience, and there may be messages you'd like to have my readers hear.
~Bill"
Depending on the source, and the circumstances, I occasionally feel the criticism I receive is justified. Nobody's perfect; certainly not me.
I did tone down the admittedly offensive blog, but still made the point that the uranium market is not a liquid market like, say, gold.
Without an editorial board, we bloggers have to rely on our critics for checks and balances. Some of us listen.

I wonder if they also contacted ROB TV as they made some negative comments regarding high fees on U.TO.
