Cara's Daily Planet, Tues., Oct. 3, 2006, 6:53 AM

Readers are invited to link and discuss published articles here.

The interest of readers of this thread is in preserving capital through awareness of significant events.

By the end of the week, I will have an independent editorial board in place. The fact is that I cannot leave this blog open and exposed for long periods of my absence, and I have insufficient time to read everything.

Amaranth still unravelling!

Troubled hedge fund sells assets

Natural gas prices hit a two-year low in September
Amaranth Advisors, the US-based hedge fund that lost about $6bn (£3.2bn) betting on gas prices, has sought help as it liquidates its remaining assets.
It needs the cash to repay investors who have asked to pull their money out since Amaranth's losses came to light.

Seems there has been major work towards building a North American Union under the radar, implying loss of national sovereignty. Includes building a superhighway linking Mexico-USA-Canada. Surreal, no? It's gotten to the stage where the US House is introducing a resolution, HR 487, to discuss and condemn the initiative. The link below seems serious, although from a website that covers very non mainstream political views.

Does Sprott control the price of uranium? My sources tell me, and I quote:

"About the only thing Sprott has control of is his own bowel movements."
