Did Dunn really do it? Apparently it's a ‘He said; She said'.
There will be no vote, says Telfer.
McEwen says Telfer started selling personal shares soon after Goldcorp-Wheaton River deal.
ROBTV carried an interview with Rob McEwen at about 9:50am this morning. It will likely be available soon as a Replay.

Second-quarter economic growth rate revised lower
Stock futures in the U.S. are down as a result. In related news, job claims came in about as expected.
But note the previous number was revised upward from the previous report. This shows the same bias for initially releasing news in a more favorable light, then adjusting it, which make the next number look that much better. Same thing we have seen with new home sales for several months now.

SHHHHSH. You're giving it away. You don't want to ruin the party do you? ;)
Wait til 3Q GDP comes in at less than 2. Oh around 1.7 is my guess. That's when Bill gets his sharp dropoff in the indices and we all scoop up the bargains.

Re: "lawmakers denouce HP spying tactics....".
This is a brilliant smokesreen. These are the same lawmakers who are passing laws restricting civil liberties.
This is a case of powerful people spying on powerful people. They forgot that powerful people are supposed to spy on little, defenseless people only (preferably foreigners, immigrants etc. whose poor, old parents are forced to travel thousands of miles to defend their children).
While watching all these "I am taking the 5th drama" on "make your own reality" channel CNBC, I realized where all these service jobs are being created : spying in the "Land of the Free".

Mmm...I wonder if some of our foreign competitors and those currently predicting the total collapse of the American Economy are willing to subject their "democratic and legal process" to the worldwide scrutiny the USA willing asked for, via the Internet (www.cspan.org), of the Hewlett-Packard Congressional Hearings? Or just march the miscreants off the the nearest gulag or firing squad?

Something to think about as we relax this evening:
No reaction in the overnight PM markets as far as I can see.
Bill, didn't you or an esteemed regular predict that exactly this would happen?
