A pick for uranium, Mon., Sept. 18, 2006, 5:30 PM

I'll soon be writing about a new company that is in pre-development of a uranium mine in Mongolia. Uranium; Mongolia; I'm up for it.

I went to the funeral today for John Kita. His son John, who I have known almost his entire life, recently left his job at Barrick Resources to take on an interesting challenge in Mongolia. The company is appropriately called Khan Resources. John is Chief Geologist,

Khan recently completed an IPO at Cdn $1.50 on the Toronto Stock Exchange main board. The stock is close to that price today. The high is Cdn$1.63.

After listening to John, I looked at the company website, and saw that I also know David Lewis, the CFO, and also the Los Angeles-based Investor Relations firm, where I once visited their office to see the owner who I've known for over 20 years (and saw at PDAC 2006).

The stock trades in both Canada and the U.S. (TSX: KRI and USOTC: KHRIF).

That's all I know at this point, but I'm going to make a point of finding out more.
