Is there an investment analyst in the house?, Wed., July 26, 2006, 8:06 AM
Taking a week off for a business trip and another for stomach flu, at a time the workload has doubled at least, has left me unable to finish a couple projects I had committed to.
I have always prided myself in doing what I say I'd do, and maybe at this point I am trying to bite too big a slice to chew. Therefore, I am going to ask if there is an aspiring (or junior) independent investment analyst (w/CFA) who wants to make a "name" in the biz, and has some available time. If so, and you can work with a professional discipline, please contact me, and possibly we can work together to finish a "special situation" fundamental analysis project in healthcare I had started.
Who knows, if this one works out, and the joint precious metals companies analysis I am doing also works out, I may even do more of it.
As readers know, I don't have the time to follow many "special situations" and so, by having the resources of a competent professional at hand, I'd like to attempt a series of these studies. There sure are enough of them in the marketplace that the major broker-dealers and independent research houses do not cover.
My interest, for the most part, would be using these situations as part of a teaching lab. They become excellent case studies for explaining the nuances of trading.
