Tough questioning of Crystallex CEO, Tues. 6/13/2006 5:33 PM
In ROBTV's The Wrap with Bruce Sellery today after 4:30pm, Crystallex CEO Todd Bruce was thoroughly grilled by his well-prepared host.
Because Sellery was firm but did not brow beat his guest, Mr. Bruce was able to say all that he wanted to say. I'm sure he left the studio feeling good in that he wasn't put through the mill a la 60 Minutes. And there were sure no CNBC creampuffs tossed his way either.
This five-minute segment shows how ROBTV does not share the mantle of Financial Entertainment TV with its competitor CNBC. Rather, host Bruce Sellery must be commended for excellence in television journalism.
There are too many excellent ROBTV "personalities" to be fair to pick out only a few, but I'll add Sellery to some others I particularly like: Howard Green, Jacquie McNish, Amanda Lang, Linda Nazareth, Eric Reguly, Danielle Bochove, Paul Waldie and Jim O'Connell.
Earlier today, Jim O'Connell extracted from Sprott Asset Management several names of promising junior mining stocks. A short video clip as well as a longer one is another piece of excellent television journalism.
At the end of the day Amanda Lang and Paul Waldie got into the Province of Ontario politics of electricity first with an interview with the Energy Minister as well as some good reporting on the Province's new commitment to nuclear energy. They also got into an informative presentation from Peter Cruddas, the founder and head of CMC Markets, which opened my eyes, I'll tell you.
Obviously I didn't have a lot of time today for watching ROBTV, but whenever I did, I came away with the feeling of how does it get better. I don't see anybody coming close.
