The bear rips apart Asia-Pacific markets, Thurs., June 8, 2006, 7:22 AM

The evidence from Asia-Pacific equity markets is apparent. The bear market of 2006 has arrived.

Asia-Pacific markets get smashed again today.

India's Bombay Sensex index is down almost 5 pct!

This move is the same as the Shanghai China debacle of yesterday.

Japan's Nikkei 225 was down over 3 pct today, which is equivalent to about 50 Nasdaq points or 350 Dow points.

That is ugly any way you slice it, but India and Japan are starting to look interesting even to me.
