The ability to think for oneself, Tues., June 6, 2006, 6:30 AM

I am not impressed that someone has been trying to attack my webhost servers and my own, and made nasty comments both in the blog and to me directly, since the point a couple days ago that I published an article that was not 100 pct favourable to black box modelling.

It is important to me that the People retain an ability to think for themselves, and it is clearly the ambition of some people in our midst who would want us to be directed and controlled by black boxes.

If any reader knows anything at all about 586876 and who is "Frequency Domain Jan" (Jan Verspecht), please send me a note. There may be a connection here. Maybe not. But coincidence that repeats is not likely to be coincidence.

I have very little patience for people who both hide and try to affect society at the same time. Unfortunately it is one result of living in a digital world.

Btw, the blog had 244,000 hits yesterday " on our way to a 1 million hit/day milestone. This result comes from the demands of free-thinking people who want info and data they don't have to spend all day filtering.

With the growing popularity of this blog, I feel some of the commenters are becoming off-centered in their remarks, however. Remember, this is my blog.

It is appropriate (Bill's Rules) for any reader to publish anything they want to say here if they truly feel it is a positive contribution; but once or twice on the same point is sufficient. Beyond that and readers just tune out, so I am hopeful that the commenters who are so inclined to rant about the same subject decide to set up their own blog.

;Or send me mail directly.
