Pring's Return of the Bear, Fri., June 23, 2006, 8:01 AM

As MarkM pointed out earlier, my old friend Martin Pring has published a 28-page report and a 30-minute educational movie that supports a bear case. I encourage readers to look into Martin's work because he is a good teacher of technical analysis.

Discourse

Interesting info from Pring.

Bill and others: If we're entering a multi-year period bear market for stocks (either in real terms or in commodity adjusted terms) then what significance can be gained if the technical oversold indicators in stocks like MSFT and INTC continue to appear ?

If the best that can be achieved is the relative outperformance of other also declining equities, yet you're still losing (or treading sideways), what's the point ?

Seems like you're better off just putting your money in 6-12 month higher yielding CDs and sit out the decline in stocks.
