Bill Cara's crystal ball is crystal clear, Fri., June 2, 2006, 9:14 AM

On a sunny day like today, I hold the unfair advantage. I get to write headline articles at 6:52am that come true at 8:32am. But then I have always been ahead of my time.

Yes, I do have a crystal ball. Long-time readers know it. They even hang pictures of it on the wall.

Isn't life grand when you hold the power?

btw, with the readers of WSJ tuning in today, I was inspired to do my thing once again. Ka-ching!! And that is why I love trading and blogging.

Ka-ching is the sound of the cash register unknown to economists, statisticians and politicians. It's a trader kinda thing.

Guess the NFP explains the pop in equities a couple of days ago and the recent positive divergence in the miners vs gold...

Looks like the equity markets are initially selling off from the open, though. Already lost all the initial NFP gains within the first 15 minutes from the open. Sellers with recession in mind or just looking to unload into any pop? Perhaps rally will come in force a bit later today.

Bill,

You seem to have a strong sense of how market data is going to come out...how do you go about formulating your idea. What are you reading? Is it just mostly instinct from being in the game for a while? Anyways, I agree with you I think the march for the oils and metals starts here.

Thanks,
Brian
