"MonkeyDo" would like to comment along with others, Fri., May 12, 2006, 12:48 PM

I received the following mail re commenter anonymity.

"Bill, please change my blog entry name from ASS to just A (editor comment: just kidding, A!) , and I will contribute. I still prefer anonymity as I told you previously."

So I replied.

A: Please register with TypeKey. I don't have anything to do with TypeKey. It is an independent service that you confidentially register with. You could call yourself "MonkeyDo" and I wouldn't know who it is, nevertheless the readers. And if you wanted to comment on any other blogger's site (that uses TypeKey), they wouldn't know either who this "MonkeyDo" is.

Have at it. Your anonymity is protected by TypeKey. /Bill

I have changed the message for registering with TypeKey as you'll see below. Many readers had been under the mistaken impression they were registering with me. It's true that I have no idea of who the Commenter is unless they give their real name, and there is an obvious google link to it.

Discourse

I'd like to see the bond market discussion get under way again. US treasury prices are collapsing again today. We have also seen a reaffirmation of that important relationship of treasury yields v. the stock market and metals. Mainly - treasury yields up, markets down, and more important metal prices down. Maybe the straw that finally breaks the markets back and also causes the long expected correction in oil and gold is US 30 year treasury yield breaking 5.50%. At 5.30% today - that is not that far off.

Regards,

BG
