Hoye on Pivotal Events, Wed., May 24, 2006, 12:40 PM
Currently making the rounds of the buy-side is this paper of Bob Hoye, who is an institutional analyst with a good track record on metals. I don't have time to read it, but the source who sent it to me is a good one. I'd like to hear comments. Download Hoye report

He doesn't post (for free) often, but actually has a more recent post than that one. Check out the web site listed at the bottom of the report.
I'd say it's 6 pgs well worth reading. I thought it was a little light on reasoning but the quality of his recent forecasts give his opinions some weight.
If we assume that the posts were written when dated (rather than when posted), He (like Bill) made an excellent forecast of the near term top in metals and the overall market a couple weeks ago, and also favors the junior gold miners. He seems to be technically oriented, big on indicators to make his forecasts.
Most interesting are his forecasts for gold to outperform silver, gold to bottom in mid-June, and oil to bottom in late June-early July then have a choppy rally to early October.
