The ether of the Web may be more than I can take, Mon., Apr. 24, 2006, 10:52 PM

The thing about blogging is that to be fair to your readers you really have to do something that we are all told is crazy. You have to put yourself out there totally naked. As a public speaker, we are taught to look at our audience that way. And now the lens is reversed.

It takes guts. I always thought I had some, but now and then things happen that really scare me.

I don't mean ‘scare' in the sense that I am afraid that harm will come to me. No, I've got too much self-confidence and experience for that.

I'm talking about getting into discussions that a reader will take to a higher intellectual level, and then just; finish.

In that case, what will I do? Where will I go?

Tonight a reader sent me a link "about Bernanke". A simple message from a reader who has shown me good stuff in the past, so I opened it, expecting to learn something. Instead, I had to sit back and wonder " seriously wonder " about this thing they call the blogosphere, and about whether I am suited for it.

I now have a greater appreciation for the task facing university professors these days.

And, I'm trying to think of a single banker who can manage students who produce this kind of work, once they leave the hallowed halls for Wall Street.

Here is the link.

I'm going to bed. It's been a long day.

Disturbing, yes. I have an arthritic hip and I have better dance moves than that kid. :)

Good fun! We may yet see him on American Idol.

Not to worry, Big Guy. Every dog that can type has a place in the blogosphere. WOOF!
