My wife the Silver trader, Thurs., Apr. 20, 2006, 2:22 PM
Last night, while watching American Idol, taking her cue from Randy Jackson, my wife casually says to me: "So check this out; everybody wants silver, right? Well, I'll trade you my silver bar for a new pair of shoes."
I should have known. She was probably talking to her hair dresser.
I reminded her that while the Silver bar is legally hers, she did win it in a draw at PDAC using my business card, in a room of my friends, not hers.
She pressed on.
"But if everybody wants silver, why not sell it to them? If I want a pair of shoes, why not trade out of silver and into those shoes I've been looking at?"
I gave her one of those looks, like "Don't mess with me; I'm a pro trader!"
Ah well, call it woman's intuition.
She could have had a really nice pair of shoes too. But she listened to me.
Now maybe she'll settle for a cheaper pair; and I'll get the silver bar at "my" price.
I can hear her now: "Dream on!"

Well, maybe the shoes are out, but there's a killer sale on flip flops over at K Mart!

Bill, nice observation on SNDK heading lower a couple of weeks ago. Earnings are not a pretty sight.
