Japan, Korea equities weigh heavy, Fri., Apr. 28, 2006, 7:48 AM
As the $USD drops, U.S. exporters benefit. The flip side is that export trade competitors in Japan and Korea suffer (and U.S. importers do as well). This has been a tough few days for the export-heavy equities markets of Japan and South Korea.
The Nikkei 225 of Japan has dropped -290 points this week (about -1.7 pct), and -450 points since April 7. Today with the breakdown yesterday in the $USD, the Nikkei fell -1.22 pct.

And, the KOSPI of South Korea dropped -2.3 pct today.

Bill,
I have a question with respect to the lower USD and the increase revenue reported by multinationals. According to GAAP adjustments are required, however is there any reason to believe they are not?
