My faith in gold, Tuesday, March 14, 2006, 1:45 PM
On March 7, spot (cash) gold closed at $539.70. It had been in a three-day free fall. You could hear the ankles breaking as the pundits jumped off the bandwagon. So to straighten everybody out, I wrote a headline article at about 3am that night, entitled: "Alert: Gold will rally today". When last I looked, spot gold was trading at $549.70.
My web stats show that my own bandwagon grows week to week.
I just don't understand how anybody in their right mind who has to balance a personal budget could put their full faith and credit in the $USD today.
