Silver market heating up, Tues., Jan. 24, 2006, 3:21 PM
Silver is running higher. Spot (cash) silver today is up +$0.18 to $9.16. So let's look at the stocks.
Here is the market at 3:02 pm ET from INO.com

Here is a list of Silverminer stocks: SIL, CDE, HL, PAAS, SSRI, SLW, WTZ, MGN
Thanks to gorillafinger2001, I added three silverminers to the initial list of five.
He also gave us a link to the SEC proposed rule change to the iShares Silver ETF that will likely begin trading soon under the ticker symbol SLV: http://www.sec.gov/rules/sro/amex/34-53130.pdf

Bill,
Love the site and appreciate all your hard work. Just a note regarding the silver miners and that is that you may want to add a couple of names to your list that trade on the major US exchanges.
SLW - Silver Wheaton
WTZ - Western Silver
MGN - Mines Management
Certainly silver is reacting to the planned launch of the iShares Silver Trust ETF in the very near future. The SEC was out with a proposed rule change regarding it just last week -

Take care and keep up the great work!

Bill-
One of the great puzzles of this gold bull run is the fact that silver has not "confirmed" it. Silver here may be a terrific buy if it returns to form. To keep the gold /silver ratio in historical context, I have read that silver must nearly double here.
