Junior High River seeks to be mid-cap, Mon., Jan. 23, 2006, 6:15 PM

Earlier today (8:32 am ET), I wrote up an opportunity regarding small cap minerals resource companies that I believe the equity market will offer those who are willing to assume the extra risk. Then at 8:50 am, Don Whalen, executive chairman, High River Gold (TSX: HRG) was interviewed on ROBTV. His web site shows HRG is one of the companies I would put into the category as they produce about 100,000 oz of gold a year and are opening new mines as well as being active in exploration.

The video replay is available, and I think it would be a worthy 5 min:50sec of your time to go to the www.robtv.com this week to catch the video replay. Simply go to their home page, click on Monday, go to 8:50am AM Business with Bridgitte Anderson: Power Breakfast.

I looked at the stock chart early today and it seemed ok, so I'll put HRG on my market monitor. HRG was $1.85 and didn't break out until about $1.70 a couple weeks ago. I see it closed at $1.99.

This one might be a candidate, so I'll poke around. Btw, HRG trades in the U.S. OTC market as HRIVF.

Bill:

Is this the same as HRIVF in the states? It closed @ $1.725 yesterday?
