Japanese stocks down sharply, Tues., Jan. 10, 2006, 8:17 AM
Earlier today, the Japanese stock market was down sharply. The Nikkei 225 Index in Tokyo declined "1.9 pct to 16,124.35 and the TOPIX Core 30 was down "2.3 pct to 982.14. In equivalent terms, this would be a Dow 30 loss of about 225 points on the day, enough to catch anybody's attention.
Traders ought to keep an eye on the Japanese market tomorrow to see if a trend reversal is in process.
Presently I am working on a database of all key Japanese stocks for use in a regular PDF report. I plan to do the same for all major international markets.
