Washington ‘Big Oil' hearing, Wed., Nov. 9, 2005, 5:18 PM

Lee Raymond and friends go to Washington. Why the charade?

If the Senators were not able to have these speakers go under oath, and were refused to ask direct questions like What is your total annual compensation?" " just make continuous implications in their soft questions " why do it? Were the Coen Brothers filming today?

We do know the elected representatives feel the public's pain over high prices at the pump, and we do know that state and federal regulators burden the operations of ‘Big Oil'; we did not need this pretence go on all day to make such obvious points.

Is there going to be a windfall profits tax? George Bush has a greater chance of being elected to a third term.

And you know that can't happen.
