Dow 30 Journal, Thurs., Nov. 3, 2005, 12:45 PM
Readers have asked if they can see copies of my 1999 Dow 30 Journal. Well, I wrote it up in Week #21 in Review (May 28-05), as follows:
The Journal I referred to was my Dow 30 Journal that I published weekly on three web sites, in the 1990s (including AfterHourTrades.com and Trading-Ideas.com, which might still be around)."
I did not mention the third one because there is an unresolved legal issue, which I anticipate will be resolved in the months ahead, before I renew my Dow 30 Journal, which I intend to do as a premium service.
With respect to AfterHourTrades.com, it's editor and webmaster Roland Burke (down Syracuse NY way), continues to do a great job, and I expect to get back to him one day, after James comes aboard to manage those things.
The T-I guys were out of Boston, but it appears they closed the doors. Last time I checked in with them they were changing into a proprietary trading desk, and dropping the portal business. Just like broker-dealers, some of these trading blogs come and go, you know.
As for the old Dow 30 Journal, I still have all the files, and frequently quote from them here, as I did in Trader Wizard, because what goes around comes around.
You'd be interested to know that in 2H99, I was jumping up and down regarding an impending bear market, but like a tree falling in the forest, not too many people were listening. So on January 2, 2000, I finished off six months of planning and moved to Vancouver where I started to build out a national brokerage firm.
One cycle later, I might be about to do the same thing again. Who knows?
But it is true that what goes around comes around.
