Jack Bogle's Battle for the Soul...", Wed., Oct. 12, 2005, 3:35 PM
I received this mail today that hits a nerve:
Hi Bill, I was watching PBS Nightly Business Report about 7PM last night and the interview with John Bogle , Vanguard founder & creator of no-load and index funds etc. Over the years he has been frequently quoted railing against the system. His latest book The Battle For The Soul Of Capitalism" reflects many of your perspectives about why Wall Street is broken, as he crusades for the individual shareholder vs the agents and intermediaries that are stealing the profits without taking the risk. I also have a link to a Motley Fool radio interview, which is perhaps the best 15 minutes we readers of your blog could spend today (after reading your blog, of course). It must be re-assuring to know that, along with you, there are influential voices out there working to fix the system. /T"

Yes, Jack has made his mark. He continues to tell anybody who will listen (and take the time to think) that Wall Street is conflicted, and needs fixing.
