False rally in the Dow, Tues., Oct. 11, 2005, 2:20 PM

After news or rumor that Kerkorian would be increasing his stake in GM, the stock zipped up over +7 pct on the day. The Dow is now up +65 to 10303.

This is a false rally.

p.s.,

My monitor has gone haywire! Now shows the Nasdaq down -30. The Dow is shown as down -13 when I know it's up over +60. It would be nice to get good info.
