Beta-testing Market Rhythms", Thurs., September 8, 2005, 3:15 PM

As I learned today, my future premium website, to be called Market Rhythms" will take 3-4 weeks to complete an alpha test, another 1-2 weeks to complete a beta test, then a further week to complete the roll-out. A computer company by the name of NI Solutions (John Cowie) is doing the work.

I want any potential candidates for the beta test to contact him directly at john.cowie@nisolutions.ca (this link now works!)

The reason for this is that I want John to make all decisions regarding the testing so that the results are more honest.

Ni Solutions is not a huge company, but they provide services to huge companies, and their expertise is precisely what I need. I can write a simple blog and offer the relatively simple billcara.com website entirely on my own, but I can't manage, as well as produce content, for all that I hope Market Rhythms will become.

Besides, if I tried, my free blog would suffer, and I have no intentions of changing the direction of the billcara.com website/blog.

John Cowie is the creative director of NI Solutions. He is I suppose 27. I've known him since he was 5. He is my son's best friend. They went to school together. While at University, John wrote a computer language that manages all aspects of multi-media on one platform, seamlessly. He's already authored a book, become an international speaker, and directed and produced a film (where he took a large number of World War 2 vets to Europe for the 60th anniversary, on behalf of the Royal Canadian Museum.

I have all the confidence in the world that he will help me make Market Rhythms a success.

Like anything worthwhile, it has taken John a few months to get his head around what I want. I tend to create and build what I think the market needs, which frequently is something unique. Market Rhythms will definitely be unique.

After I built a trading floor for 39 traders in a thee-level amphitheatre on the penthouse floor of the Toronto Stock Exchange tower, I received industry people from all over the world to see what I had done. I'm going to do the same thing here " maybe not day one, but only because John and his team have never worked with a client like me, i.e., in the capital markets. This will be a test for them too.

So, check out John " and send him an e-mail if you'd like to get involved in the Market Rhythms beta test.
