Four nines fine, Wed., August 3, 2005, 2:28 PM
The purest form of gold is rated .9999, which is 99.99 pct fine. That's considered pure" gold. On Monday in this blog, I forecasted that goldminer stocks would rally soon. I consider that forecast to be four nines fine as well.
Compare this table to the one I published Monday. I think you'll find it quite different.

Good call indeed. As I recall you do not look much at seasonal history. So just an FYI- it would appear that the period of Aug 1st to early October has registered most of the gains for gold miners over the past 20 years or so. A period which is particularly weak for equities broadly. So history would tend to agree with your comment a few days ago that equity longs may want to look at hedging their position... with gold/miners.
