I'm happy to say that my personal database work is just about finished, and my new premium web-based report is coming along well. I think you'll be impressed. It will start before the end of August, and will be open to all.
Now, before anybody gets nervous, (1) the free BillCara blog will continue, even if I have to just purge all unregistered mail and refuse to acknowledge or respond to mail that irks me, and (2) there will be a free component to the new premium service.
When you see all the work I have to do to produce the new reports, and the value to certain traders, I think you will agree that I cannot offer it all free.
Do I think that some users will want to pay? Absolutely.
Money is not what drives me, obviously. But I think it's unfair to me to get the hundreds of letters I do from securities industry professionals who use my work in their jobs, and not pay a thing for it.
So what I decided to do, rather than lower the level of the present blog, was to up the level of an associated blog, and produce it in a way that subscribers will find user-friendly. The industry professional will like the fact I have addressed reader productivity issues.
There will be daily audio and video reports as well as text. Eventually it will be in multi-languages: I just have to learn Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, etc ;-)
But the major achievement will be that time-pressured users will be able to access every layer of this report in 4 keystrokes. With MP3, they'll be able to get real-time reports. It's going to be a challenge, but a fun one.
Finally, I'm looking forward to getting back into the game, and enjoying it thoroughly.
I didn't have my usual humor in writing Saturday's Week #30 in Review, but I can tell you I enjoyed writing that report for the first time in a long time.
Now I have to get busy updating the GICS Sector studies for 3Q05 linked to the top banner of this website.
