"Dope...miami's market isn't just local buyers, so the same rules don't apply. It is an international market buyer; coupled with the fact that there is limited supply and a whole lot of demand, hence, thrusting the market upwards. Econ 101: supply and demand. Oh, and to reference 1965 Miami as some sort of reason why the market here is questionable for your taste, makes me laugh. There were a whole lot of locals that were down 40 years ago, but are pure gold now. Thats called market evoloution...There should be a rule that anyone having a website, should be able to debate on a linear level, and to have a logical thought process. Based on those parameters, you should get a new job. Lets see if you have the balls to post this...I doubt it."
Hi 8,
I'll do one better than publish your comment to an out-of-date article that nobody would see anyway. I'll also ask you to expand upon your views, which I'll respond to and post the dialog in a new article.
Everyone has a right to an opinion, you included.
Your viewpoint (and not your identity) is important; however, if all you want to say is that I'm a dope, forget it. But if you have an opinion about Miami real estate, please explain yourself.
As to the Miami area not being to my taste, the photos I ran a couple days ago seem to refute that. In addition to keeping my boat there year-round, I also kept a car there (a Rolls Royce in fact). I've made at least 100 trips there from about 1500 miles away. I obviously could have chosen to go elsewhere. I love the place.
In any event, I have no reason to tick off the good people of Miami, and, while this commenter appears to be from Tuscaloosa Alabama, I do apologize to any of you in South Florida who thinks, by my questioning local real estate values, that I harbor ill will.
Looking to hear from you, 8 -- and from any others, on any subject.
/Bill
To other readers, I have been working harder at preparing new reports plus a comprehensive database that I can use to generate even more (and hopefully better) articles, which is the only reason I have not been actively blogging this week.
