Go Go Lebeau, Tues., June 28, 2005, 6:56 AM

"Enough is enough! Sold to you at 35!"

That was my GM being offed on June 10, and just like CNBC's tout Phil Lebeau, GM's been on vacation since.

Will GM come back? There are two chances, slim and none.

The slim relates to whether or not America understands the difference between unit volume and give away prices. I mean if Opra and GM can just hand away the keys to $7.7 million worth of Pontiac G6's as a publicity stunt, then I'm waiting for my $10,000 payoff to buy something of theirs I'd like to drive.

I won't even be thinking of the $1525 in healthcare cost that went into my new car. I'm sure my son didn't think of that when he bought his new Pontiac last week.

I mean, why bitch about $1525 to deserving workers as if that's your biggest problem? If GM wants to give these things away in order to keep their factories working, then I'm going to stand in line.

And then dreamers who believe in stock jockeys like Lebeau can count my family as part of that rapidly growing unit volume at GM. But, where's the profit for GM?

By the way, have you noticed the direct correlation between the extent of CNBC coverage and the cycle peak of certain stocks?

I could go back to Time Warner, Worldcom, AT&T, Global Crossing, Tyco, Martha Stewart, Taser, Krispy Kreme, Yellow Roadway, Apple;I could actually go on for a couple paragraphs, depending on how far back you want me to go.

Just remember, all you algorithmic traders, the keywords are;frequency of reference or appearance;cycle peak;.direct correlation;.stock collapse;

Got it? You can actually trade off these people. The rules are simple.

Go Go Lebeau.

I'm just waiting for CNBC to annoint GOOG the day that hyper-blown stock is added to the S&P 500 index in August. That's the day (at $360), Google hits the $100 billion mark in market cap. Dow 30 top 15.

And just think, Google will then be half the size of Wal-Mart's market capitalization. Hmmm.

And when, on that day, Crammer and Kernan bow deeply to receive the public's accolades, you ought to know what to do.
