Croft on options, Monday, June 13, 2005, 4:14 PM

At 12:30pm EDT today, on ROBTV's Market Call with Jim O'Connell, an old-time colleague of mine, Richard Croft, was interviewed on his expert knowledge of equity options and ETFs. The video link is available at ROBTV.com.

12:30 PM ET
Market Call with Jim O'Connell
Options (Canadian & U.S. Equities) and Exchange Traded Funds
Richard Croft, President, RN Croft Financial Group
Duration: 57 m 41 s

O'Connell's Market Call advertises that it "provides daily access to the brightest financial experts in Canada. Here on our Market Call Web section, we display a concise snapshot of our guests' top picks to help you make informed investment decisions."

What I particularly like about ROBTV is that there is a minimum of spin. The guests are qualified analysts, who may be positive in one appearance, and negative the next.

The point is that I couldn't write their script months, even years ahead, as I could easily do for many of the guests on CNBC. ROBTV, in fact, represents objective journalism. Some of the guests are Americans (like Rick Rule on the list below), and many of the recommended stocks are American (like Goldman Sachs in this list).

Moreover, they offer an online telecast to web subscribers, at nominal monthly cost, and when guest analysts discuss and recommend securities, these are listed in the ROBTV archives for all to see. Intellectual honesty. How novel.

How wonderful.

As for Richard Croft today, I happened to be the person who hired him into the securities industry, over 20 years ago. He knew his options stuff then too.

And as for ROBTV, I have zero connection. I am just a happy viewer.
