Thought provokers

One of the true benefits of having a large and serious blogger community is the free exchange of ideas and opinions.

I just returned from my weekend trip to see that two readers have made comments to the blog that are worth highlighting. Keith from Spain added to my blog commentary about the Gnomes, this one by Richard Ney, and Miggs from NYC referred to an op-ed piece by Mann and Pluck (Institute for International Economics), titled, "When the dollar bill comes due". I enjoyed reading both.

I also got some mail from Barry Ritholtz, who writes a terrific blog ("The Big Picture"), and who spends a little time weekly as a guest expert on CNBC. Barry says that Dow Jones (Wall Street Journal and Barron's) are doing some research on a possible article on trading blogs. I hope they do, and moreover I would like to see DJ embrace independent bloggers, in some co-operative way.
