Forbes 2000 Best, Fri., April 1, 2005, 5:42 AM

Today, Forbes has published their database listing of what they call the Global Best 2000 (for the year 2004). I recommend you have a look because you may find it a useful source of finding info on companies that are (1) large cap (2) international and (3) listed by sector.

I found an interesting article (called profile) on Petrochina (NYSE: PTR), which you know is on my Cara Global Best 100 list.

While I find value in this Forbes list, I do think it could be made 100 pct more effective, like the industry browsers at Yahoo Finance for example, which I use every day. Now, if only Forbes would link all the past 52-week Forbes articles or references to each of these listings, that would be helpful.
