Yes, for Petrolio Greggio, it's time to say goodbye.

I continue to do a daily review of the charts for the energy sector (GICS 10), where I have 59 oil & gas stocks in my database, broken into six sub-industry groups. During the 1Q05, these stocks were the ones that basically held the broad market from falling more quickly than it did.

While the Dow has caught up to the new found strength we observed late last week in the S&P and Nasdaq, and is up some 60 points today, I see considerable price weakness in the energy sector. My feeling is that further weakness in the oils will pull down the broad market, which should start to roll over within a couple days.

p.s., Maybe you can tell that my idol Andrea Bocelli is in town for a concert at the AC Centre tonight. I was fortunate to watch him in concert in Ottawa at the Corel Centre from the arena builder's skybox. Is there a better entertainer in the world?
