Lexar Media follow-up, Thur., March 24, 2005, 8:59 AM
A reader note this morning re Lexar Media: "Thanks for the links and update. The interesting thing about the Press Release at the Lexar website is that the $381 million is for breach of contract etc. There will likely be substantial punitive damages awarded. Also, Lexar has 10 patent infringement cases before Fed Court, so all told these actions could total more than a $ half-billion. How many years would it have taken them to put this to the bottom line through sales? This morning's pre-trading has LEXR @ $5.60."
Although Lexar Media (NDQ: LEXR) is a small company, it has proprietary rights within an exciting technology called flash memory. Traders should stay on top of this story, in my view.
I see that the LEXR pre-open is at $6.33 (9:10am). Ka-ching!
