State of Mind, Thursday, February 3, 2005 05:22:26

I did not sleep a wink overnight. My thoughts are with my parents and I have become overcome with emotion in the knowledge that yesterday Mom declined hospitalization so that she could spend her remaining days with Dad, and Dad vowing to go out on the same day, and probably will.

Beyond saying that I have a pain in my stomach and a crushing headache, there is not much to add. Clearly I am depressed and need to sleep in order that my mind can take the time it needs to process my sorrow.

Yesterday I affixed six new tabs to the top bar and drafted the content for four of them. There are three others that are nearly finished but I cannot seem to complete the task.

My parents asked to be cremated and their ashes spread on the country property I have written so much about. Well, actually across from the tennis court on land that the family intends to retain.

Right now it's snow covered. In the Spring, it will be a fitting place to rest.
