GICS 35: KOSP Follow-up, Thursday, February 3, 2005 18:14:26
Within 30 minutes of the time I published Levi Bauer's research on Kos Pharmaceuticals (NDQ: KOSP) today, the stock was up 3.7 percent, which is an increase in market cap of about $45 million. I never saw that coming.
Levi Bauer, 24, Omaha NE, is (I think) a government healthcare analyst who aspires to a career in investment research. He publishes a blog under the name Soothsayer of Omaha, which every Wall Street house ought to read before they interview him for a job. He was soon to be interviewed by a local firm, and asked me what I thought of his KOSP report that he was about to send them prior to the job interview. As soon as I saw it, I asked him if I could publish it. I just love to see what young people do with their lives. It makes other things in life just a little bit easier to accept.
